In Butterfly Venus I capture the feminine form, graceful and sensual, that evokes the spirit of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. Yet, she is a rebellion. The intricate tattoo on her back that breaks from tradition and whisper defiance. The floral motifs symbolize transformation, freedom, and individuality, much like a butterfly breaking from its cocoon. This duality is the aspiration toward iconic beauty and the refusal to be confined by it. I wanted to create a dialogue between fragility and strength, tradition and revolution, conformity and self-expression. Butterfly Venus becomes both a homage to beauty and a declaration of independence.
