“Venetian Gala” is inspired by an imaginative sketch created by my youngest daughter Eva as part of her school enrollment. Reinterpreted in oil, the sketch transforms into a theatrical gathering of masked figures reminiscent of Venetian carnival.

Painted in monochrome, the work radiates both elegance and mystery. Each figure carries its own persona, some serene, others playful or melancholic, like characters assembled for a grand performance.

Through this interplay of masks, expressions, and absence, the painting becomes not just a gala, but also a reflection on identity, imagination, and the timeless bond between parent and child in the act of creation.
